Dan Qi Soup

Dan Qi Soup (丹芪汤) is a nutritious soup for second week confinement period meant for improving blood circulation and tonify Qi. To enable medicinal properties to be released easily during boiling, you can soak the dried herbs so as to absorb the water.
Ingredients Herbs
- 7g Dan Shen (丹参)
- 7g Huang Qi (黄芪)
- 5g Bai Shao (白芍)
- 3g Sheng Gan Cao (生甘草)
- 5g Chuan Xiong (川芎)
- 5g Chi Shao (赤芍)
- 5g Sheng Di (生地)
- 10g Red Dates (红枣)
- 250g Pork Ribs (排骨)
Method
- Soak all the herbs in water for 30 minutes.
- Add in blanched pork.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
- Add seasoning before serving.
